Chiropractic Improves Vertigo

Chiropractors face a wide variety of challenging cases in their offices every single day.  The loss of balance and one’s sense of orientation in space, vertigo is often accompanied by headache, nausea, or neck pain.  Chiropractic care has been shown to improve symptoms of vertigo.  If you or someone you know is suffering with vertigo, your Kennesaw chiropractors at Exodus Health Center can help.

Vertigo can be a debilitating condition that involves dizziness, nausea and vomiting and an inability to do even the simplest of tasks.  People who suffer with vertigo are often unable to drive, leave their house or do anything worthwhile until the symptoms subside.

Vertigo is typically transient in nature and will come and go.  It is often attributed to problems with the inner ear.  However, there are many reports of vertigo being reduced or eliminated with adjustments to the upper cervical area of the spine.

Case Study of Chiropractic and Vertigo

In 1995, a 71 year old woman who had experienced sudden-onset severe disabling vertigo had sought medical treatment for a year with no relief.  She received one cervical adjustment that completely resolved the condition.

The doctors who cared for the patient found that she hadn’t had a recurrence of the condition for over 2 years when the case study was published.  This is a classic case where specific chiropractic care succeeded where medical interventions failed.

How Chiropractic Works

In our offices we see patients with a wide variety of conditions including neck pain, headaches, vertigo, allergies, asthma and blood pressure problems.  Many of these clients have been suffering for years and have tried many medical solutions, all of which have failed.

After a detailed examination, we start them on a course of specific chiropractic adjustments and in a matter of weeks or months there symptoms are no longer present.

This is due to the fact that chiropractic care works to get to the root cause of neurological imbalances and improves the body’s ability to adapt and heal.  The body, with improved neurology, is able to coordinate the self-healing process on its own.
