Diabetes Mellitus (type II) is the diagnosis given when an individual’s blood sugar levels are uncontrolled by the body. This is dangerous because sugar is highly inflammatory if it remains in the blood stream for an extended period of time, and can radically increase the individual’s risk for heart disease, stroke, cancer, and a host of other diseases.

Treatment for Type II Diabetes can include dietary changes and even insulin injections, however, if the problem persists despite these changes, other solutions must be considered.

Case studies have shown that type II diabetics who take insulin and who receive regular chiropractic care have been able to reduce their intake of insulin. These were not the only improvements noticed either.

One of the major problems experienced by older diabetics is a loss of feeling in the lower

extremities due to circulation problems. This can be serious, as it can lead to injury or

loss of a limb. However, type II diabetics have been known to feel a restoration of warmth and feeling in previously numb feet and legs as a result of chiropractic care.

If you or someone you know suffers with type II diabetes, let them know there is hope, and have their appointment set as soon as possible with their Kennesaw area Chiropractor for an evaluation.
